Bejoy Nambiar's
upcoming project, 'David', promises to be
a movie that will make the film-going masses sit up and take notice.
The flick, which stars
Lara's back on the silver screen

Neil Nitin Mukesh, Monica Dogra, Isha Sharvani and Vinay Virmani in lead roles — along with southern star Vikram — has been creating ripples in the film industry ever since its first look was released.

The gangster-comedy has an entire portion — the one starring Neil Nitin Mukesh and Monica Dogra — which has been shot in black and white. Besides that, the promos of the film already offer glimpses of stellar
performances, direction and cinematography. Not many people know this, but former beauty queen Lara Dutta is looking forward to the release of 'David', on February 1, as well.

The reason for this, it seems, is that she has actually shot for a small portion of the film. This was a while back, when her little daughter Saira was just five months old. The 34-year-old married ace tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi in 2011 and the couple became proud parents of daughter Saira in January last year.
"(Director) Bejoy Nambiar's 'David' is out on Feb 1. Have a 'itty bitty' (small) part in it. Filmed it when Saira was five months old. Fun to be part of it (sic)," Lara tweets. 'David' is a movie transcending three different time zones and was simultaneously shot in Hindi and Telugu.

A star-studded birthday bash!

Subhash Ghai turned a year older recently — and he did so in style. His birthday bash was a star-studded event, with the who's who of the industry dropping in to wish the film-maker on his big day.

Leading stars like Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, well-known film-makers like Abbas-Mustan and Rakesh Roshan — who arrived with his wife — and Bollywood belles like Vidya Balan attended the party.

On to his next movie

Rajeev Khandelwal is still gloating over the decent performance of 'Table No 21', which released earlier this year. Now, he's on to his next film — Ishq Actually, which also stars Rayo Bakhirta, Neha Ahuja and Ann Mitchai. This flick has been directed by Anish Khanna and produced by Sunny Sharma. The story of Ishq Actually revolves around Gia (played by Neha Ahuja), who is at a crossroads in her life, with the arrows pointing towards Neil
(essayed by Rajeev Khandelwal) in one direction and Kabir (portrayed by Rayo Bakhirta) in the opposite direction. She grapples with making a decision, as she's torn between the two worlds that she's been living in. Amazed at life's sense of timing, she treads along a path that she believes will lead to her true love. The music for the film has been given by Chirantan Bhatt, Adam and Edie and Shahdaab Bhartiya. It will release later this year.

A fresh song for Rekha

One of the best dancers of her era, Rekha was last seen grooving to a dance number in the title track of Om Shanti Om. And now, the timeless diva will once again put on her dancing shoes for a forthcoming movie — Super Nani. Super Nani is a film on women's empowerment; it shows how a grandson inspires his grandmother to do something worthwhile in life. Rekha, 58, is playing Sharman Joshi's grandma in the Indra
Kumar-directed movie. Confirming this, Shabina Khan, choreographer of the film, says, "We will be
shooting for a dance number with Rekha. All I can say is it's a fresh and fun-filled song."

"We recently shot for one song with Rekha but in that song, she was completely in her character. The second song, which we will be shooting soon, will be fun," she adds.
