Fighting for honey

Bee Movie' is directed by Steve Hickner and Simon J Smith. In this animated film, Barry is a bee who has completed his education and is not happy with the profession of collecting honey day after day. He meets Vanessa, a florist, in the city of Manhattan. She takes Barry to the supermarket, where he discovers that human
beings consume all the honey that the bees work hard at collecting — that's when he decides to take them to court. Catch the flick on WBat 7.10 pm on January 31.

Not yet mature enough


Jason's Lyric' airs on MGM at 9 pm on January 31. In this movie, Allen Payne plays a sales clerk at TV store, who is in love with Lyric — played by Jada Pinkett Smith. But he still has to reach a certain level of maturity.
He needs to grow up by facing his fears and confronting the troubles he has with his family. His father, Maddog, is as crazy as his name and comes back to haunt Jason before he can move on and be an adult. Tune in to the film to find out if he can ever leave his past behind him. It also stars Bokeem Woodbine, Anthony 'Treach' Criss and Eddie Griffin.

Bringing down the villains

Barb Wire' airs on Star Movies at 11.12 pm on January 31. The flick revolves around Barb Wire, who is the owner of the Hammerhead Bar and Grille — when she isn't out smashing bad guys to pulp, that is. She lives in the not-too-distant future, in a country devastated by civil war. Barb Wire doesn't take sides — that is, until a bunch of less-than-desirable gang members start moving in on her territory and hurting those close to her.


From then on, there's nothing but non-stop action as she uses everything and anything to bring down the bad guys. The film stars Pamela Anderson Lee, Temuera Morrison, Victoria Rowell, Jack Noseworthy and
Xander Berkeley.
