With eateries cropping up everyday in Koramangala, the area has turned into a hot spot for foodies. From different cuisines to thematic restaurants, one is surely spoilt for choice.

Offering a completely different ambience is 'Over The Top', the roof top restro-lounge, which opened a couple of months ago.

One of the first things that strikes one about the place is the ambience -- it is completely open and airy with greenery all around -- the place is perfect to unwind after a long day at work. The food is an added bonus.

Vinith Raj, the chief executive of the place, says that it has always been his dream to open a place like this in the City. "One rarely finds roof top restaurants in the City. With so many buildings around, you really want to get out of the concrete jungle and enjoy some nice wind with a green backdrop. It took us a while to put the place together but with the positive feedback we have been getting from the customers, it feels nice," says Vinith, who also owns 'Enigma', the pub that's on the ground floor of the same building.

When it comes to the food, 'Over The Top' does not go overboard with the number of dishes on the menu but they make up for it in their portions. "Since we have just started, we want to give a bit of everything to our customers. So we have Indian, Lebanese and even continental cuisines. Also, we are going to keep on adding new dishes as we progress," says Aarish, the culinary restaurant consultant and the executive chef of the place.

So as one sips on a good range of cocktails and mocktails, one can also dig into the classic hummus and baba ganoush platter, the melt-in-the-mouth galouti kababs, nachos that comes with a large helping of cheese poured on top. Steamed dim-sums are also a must try. Bringing in a bit of Mumbai, Aarish has also introduced something called baida roti which is a roti stuffed with minced meat. "We are soon starting a live grill as well," adds Vinith.

Popular picks on the menu are the buffalo wings and a variety of burgers. A must have is the 'Over The Top Burger', which has a minced lamb cutlet topped with grilled chicken breast and vegetables.

This is then served along with a good serving of fries and coleslaw. "In the afternoon, we have something called power lunches, where one can choose between a two or three-course meal. These give a good taste of what's available in the menu and is light on the wallet," says Vinith. 'Over The Top' is located at No. 2, 100 ft Road, Koramangala, 5th Block.
