Looks like it's not just the Bollywood actresses who are making forays into the South — the lead actors don't mind venturing into the industry either. The latest being actor Shreyas Talpade, who will soon be making his debut in the Kannada film industry. This yet-to-be-titled project will be directed by Navneet Kaushik and Vijay Kiran. Talking to Metrolife, Vijay Kiran says, "The movie is trilingual and will be made in Kannada, Hindi and Telugu." Ask him about Shreyas' role in the movie and Vijay says that he wants to keep the actor's look and role in the movie a surprise. "The film will be a romantic thriller and a fast-paced one. So, one can't really say much as it will spoil the story," he says, adding, "we had approached Shreyas a long time back by sending him a one-line story. When we didn't hear from him, we thought of approaching someone else; but then, we suddenly got a call from his manager saying that he wanted to meet us. The rest is history."
Apart from his talent, it was Shreyas' dedication and level of involvement that impressed Vijay a lot. "From the time we narrated the entire story to him, Shreyas has been involved. In fact, he even gave his own suggestions that helped us look at things in a new perspective," reveals Vijay. Shreyas will be seen in all three versions and the Kannada version will also star Srinagara Kitty and Tia Bajpai in the lead — while the Hindi version will see Mimoh Chakravarthy and the Telugu version will have Tarun Kumar. "This is not a dubbed film. We are shooting all three films with different screenplays and we are also tweaking the script a bit according to the nativity ," explains Vijay. The shooting for the film will start early next week in Bangkok.
