Students of M S Ramaiah College of Arts Science and Commerce had a blast during their cultural festival

M S Ramaiah College of Arts Science and Commerce recently conducted its intra-college cultural festival. The college created a platform for healthy competition between students, so that they could hone their skills and exhibit their talent. Students from different departments vied with each other to win the various events.

With a festive fervour in the air, students of the college created an electric atmosphere and had a blast on the occasion. The entire college wore a celebratory look. The three-day event began with a bang and students scattered to take part in a range of activities.

The first day included a few off-stage events, such as cooking, presenting a collage on the current BJP crisis, a chart presentation on positive psychology, a product launch and a service launch. The lively chart presentation event required the students to exhibit their creative skills.

"There is a lot of imagination involved in preparing a chart for the theme 'positive psychology'. We used crepe sheets, cardboard, glitter pens and even sketched a few things to bring out love, humanity, social intelligence and kindness," explain Divya R and Nupur Pawar, final-year students who participated in chart presentation.

During the second day of the fest, students took part in events that were related to their respective subjects. The events included a business quiz, a current affair quiz, and competitions involving abbreviations and tag lines. The youngsters took part in their favourite activities with a lot of zeal and brought out the best in them, to win the prize for their department.

"Solving errors, coding and decoding are something I have to do. This is a competition and I'm in it to beat the guy who came first last year," says Gopal Soni, a third-semester BCA student.

On the final day of the fest, students decked themselves in vibrant costumes to take part in the fashion show and various dances.

Many students shook a leg to some popular Bollywood songs, while the students of BA Journalism composed a song about their college life which left the audience in peals of laughter and won many cheers.

The festival came to an end with a fashion show that proved to be the highlight of the entire occasion. With angels and demons as the theme for the fashion show, students battled it out on the ramp. All in all, it was three days of fun and frolic.
