To be the son of a well-known actor definitely calls for a lot of attention and expectations from the audience. But Prajwal Devraj, son of veteran actor Devraj, has proved his talent in Sandalwood.

With three of his movies lined up for release this year, the actor is back with a bang.

Prajwal is relieved that he has had an opportunity to act in an array of diverse roles.

The actor is currently busy with his many projects. He is working with Haripriya in the movie Super Shashtri, which is directed by Raviraj and produced by G Ramachandra. Prajwal is also working with actor Ananya in the movie Gokula Krishna, which is directed by B M Jayakannan and produced by P Shekar Gowda.

"Gokula Krishna is a perfect family movie. I play the character of a guy who comes back to live with his parents after having studied abroad for many years. It brings out the values one should have for their parents and family," he explains, and adds, "the film Super Shashtri is an outright comedy and I play the role of a pujari."

Apart from his film Sagar, that is expected to release this month, he is also working with Kriti Karbanda and Nisha Shetty in the movie Galate, which is directed by M D Sridhar."I act as a college guy in Galate, a film that portrays a love story with a pinch of humour," says Prajwal, who wants to be known for his versatility as an actor.

He aspires to work with Ambarish, Mani Ratnam and K Balachandra. He admits, "I don't listen to scripts without my dad. We discuss the project and then I make a choice."The actor says that with guidance, his career is moving on the right track. He confesses that he has evolved as an actor — not just with every movie, but with every shot.

"I'm still in the learning process when it comes to films; it feels like I have graduated from the first grade to the second grade and I still have a lot of studying to do," explains Prajwal, who considers himself lucky to have entered the film industry when he was young.

The actor says he is in the mood for some risks, which is why he is not restricting himself to repetitive roles or films of a single genre.

"My films have to entertain the audiences and not concentrate on glorifying bad elements," says the actor, who follows his dad's values to be a good human being.

Prajwal is open to showing off his talent in other languages — if he is offered interesting projects. He also believes that acting is a form of art and it doesn't matter which language one chooses to showcase it.

Like any other guy, Prajwal is passionate about cars and bikes. Besides that, he loves photography, dance and enjoys reading travel magazines and Archie comics. Having completed his bachelors in business management, he is very enthusiastic about applying his education in the film industry.

He says, "I know it's going to take a very long time, but somewhere down the line in my career, I want to direct a film and probably try my hand at production."
