The '10th International Jawa Day' was organised by the Bangalore Jawa Yezdi Motorcycle Club (BJYMC) on Sunday. The event this year was held at a farm near Shivaganga town against the backdrop of the hill, off Tumkur highway.
Over 150 Jawa and Yezdi bikes participated in the event. This included senior mechanics and riders. The event saw the launch of BJYMC's official website (www.bjymc.com). One of the oldest Jawa factory employees, Venkatesh, addressed the gathering.
A four-member team, which recently returned from Leh and Kardungla on Jawa and Yezdi, shared their experience with the group. Team-building games and bike trivia were part of the entertainment. Customised T-shirts and stickers were made available to all participants. The event concluded with sumptuous lunch and by giving away certificates to all riders.
