The shooting of the remake of Zanjeer, which stars Ram Charan Teja and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles, is on in full swing.
And now, fans of the fit actress have something more to look forward to — it seems that Priyanka will be shooting a special introductory song for the film.
And to crank up the energy levels of the number, there will be a 100 background dancers in the shoot as well.
"We will be shooting with Priyanka Chopra for a very special song. It is going to be an unusual song, where you will see 100 men dancing with Priyanka. We will be shooting for this song on January 27, 28 and 29," says a source close to the film's team. Apparently, the song has been composed by the Meet brothers.
It will be a spirited and fun-filled number, which will set the perfect tone for the rest of the movie. The source goes on to add, "The song will be the introductory song in the film. It will be choreographed by Ganesh Acharya and is composed by the Meet brothers.
It is going to be a fun-filled song." If reports are to be believed, the film's leading man — Ram Charan Teja — also has a special song reserved for him.
Produced by Amit Mehra and directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the Zanjeer remake has been a topic of discussion ever since it was announced. While Ram Charan reprises mega-star Amitabh Bachchan's role of Vijay from the original film, Priyanka essays the role of Mala, earlier played by Jaya Bachchan.
Open to doing family films
Emraan Hashmi is consciously choosing films that will help him overcome his serial-kisser image and the actor says that he won't mind being part of a family film.
Emraan, who had surprised everyone with his performance of a small town journalist in 'Shanghai' last year, has Ghanchakkar and Ek Thi Daayan in his kitty this year. "It is not that I won't do a family film. A lot of such films are getting made and are doing well," Emraan says.
"Whatever scripts come my way, I have to choose from them. This film (Ghanchakkar) has got a U/A certificate. As an actor, I am trying to create my own aura by choosing films that I am offered," he adds. The Rajkumar Gupta-directed comedy will see Emraan essaying the role of an ex-conman and Vidya Balan playing a Punjabi housewife.
"It is a different kind of comedy. It is situational and turns out to be funnier. I really enjoyed working on this film. The title depicts how mad this film will be," Emraan smiles. Vidya and Emraan have teamed up for the second time after 'The Dirty Picture'. "It is great working with her. The audience were waiting for us to come together and we are back to entertain — but this time, in a different way," says Emraan, adding, "We share a great chemistry. In this film, we fight a lot but there is lot of love between us as well."
