Conflict in the relationship

Putting her relationship with Jonah first, Riley breaks off her friendship with Auggie, who doesn't take the news very well. Meanwhile, Ella discovers Lauren's expensive new clothing and lingerie plus a large envelope of cash and confronts her roommate about the late nights she's been working. Predictably, Lauren lies to Ella about her secret work. Also, David fears he may be responsible for Sydney's death.

In pursuit of a runaway

In 'City Hunter', Ryo (played by Jackie Chan) and Kaori (essayed by Joey Wong) are given a job working for the rich CEO of a prominent Japanese newspaper. The job is to locate his runaway daughter, Shizuko (portrayed by Kumiko Goto), and the pair trace her to a skate park. When Ryo reveals that he has been hired to find her, a skateboard chase ensues — Shizuko runs away from Ryo, who in turn is pursued by a group of skaters. To escape, Shizuko hides in the clothes store where she beats up and swaps clothes with a leering bespectacled man. Watch 'City Hunter' on Star Movies at 9 pm on January 17.

Out for revenge

'The Hunting Party' stars Oliver Reed, Gene Hackman, Candice Bergen, Simon Oakland and Ronald Howard.

While away on a hunting trip, a rancher, played by Gene Hackman, discovers that a criminal and his gang have kidnapped his wife, played by Candice Bergen. Tracking the gang, he guns them down one-by-one. But his wife and the criminal are now lovers — how will he deal with this? Watch the film on MGMat 4 pm on January 17 to find out.

Time to give notice

In 'Two Weeks Notice', Lucy (Sandra Bullock) is a lawyer who is conscious about the environment, while George (Hugh Grant) is a billionaire real estate tycoon who is, in reality, a spoilt brat.

He insists on Lucy joining his company and soon, she finds that she is advising him on everything.

Lucy soon gets fed up of being at his beck and call and gives two weeks' notice to quit her job. At first, George refuses to let her go — but finally, he has no choice but to allow her to train her replacement. On leaving the job, Lucy is surprised to find out that she is not very happy being away from George. Could she have developed feelings towards him? Watch the flick on WBat 7 pm on January 17.
