Model-turned-actress Mink Brar has made headlines for all the wrong reasons, but none of this seems to bother her in the least. Mink has always been a keen observer of the Bigg Boss series and she wasted no time in enrolling as one of the contestants of the sixth season of the show.
And she terms her stay in the house as an experience of a lifetime. "You have to be extremely thick-skinned about the comments you may hear from the other people in the house. There are times when you have to talk and mix with people you really don't want to come face-to-face with — but circumstances force you to," Mink tells Metrolife.
Recollecting her experience, she says that she had to survive on dal and chawal for five weeks. "I wasn't missing any of the materialistic luxuries but I couldn't get coffee whenever I wanted to, and I really missed out on the sweets," says Mink, who adds that she felt quite unsettled during the first few days in the house.
"I entered the house four or five weeks into the show and all the inmates were already familiar with each other. But I was lucky that I got along with almost everyone," she notes.
Just like all the other women in the Bigg Boss house, Mink too adores Salman Khan. "He's one of the most charming actors and is unbiased and unpretentious when he makes an observation about someone or something going on in the house. He's blunt — and that makes all the difference," she observes.
Mink has had her share of fame and after her appearance in Bigg Boss, she hopes to concentrate on launching her own production house. "I was stuck with so many things and had to put off the launch of my production house. But now, I am keen to launch it," she shares.
More than performance-oriented roles, Mink is popular for her item numbers. Her tall frame, good build and willingness to bare all has got her the tag of an 'item queen.' "Not everyone has it in them to do an item song but I believe I have the knack to carry it off," she gushes.
