Diverse artistes from different music genres have come together at 'India Music Week', which is being held in the City.

In this programme, music players blend their distinct sounds to bring forth a
much-needed and engaging experience.

Announcing the music week, Anirban Chakraborty, executive director of Rock Street Journal, says, "The dream of bringing music from all across comes in the event's second edition — with artistes from the SAARC countries and around. One is always working with friends in music. We've all met different teams and have realised that we are all united through music."

Bruce Lee Mani from 'Thermal and a Quarter' comments on the musical "extravaganza, saying, "When we talk about the music here, it's still just a scene and not an industry yet. The musical scene has been bettered by this musical week, which brings different types of music together on one platform."

Talking about the music industry in the City, Faisal and Bilal — from 'Strings', the Pakistani pop band — add, "Music has always been great here. For us, music has always been about fun and doing something extra, and the City will definitely see something exciting from us and 'Parikrama and Friends'."

To jazz up the interaction with the media, 'Strings' performed a bit from their
album Duur and Sar Kiye Yeh Pahar, while 'Parikrama and Friends' performed 'Whiskey Blues'.

The music week comprises of performances by Midival Punditz, Avial, Swarathma, Casa Murilo, Bandish Projekt, Vinayaka, 'RHL' and Moniker on November 24, and Shrilektric featuring Lord KIMO and 'Teddy Boy Kill' and 'Schizophonic' on November 25.
