The Coalition for Sexual Minority Rights (CSMR) is hosting the fifth annual celebration of Queer Pride, in different venues in the City till December 2. The Pride celebrations are an opportunity to mark the local, national, and global changes (social and political) that have improved the lives of sexual minorities.

This is also an opportunity to remember the fierce activism that has brought them to where they are, as well as a chance to commemorate the lives that have been lost to social injustice and hate.

The Pride festival will have an array of events such as 'transgender day of remembrance', 'Launch of Taboo', a photo exhibition, Jaaga - Ek Madhav Bagh, a play, a 'Garage sale', 'Jaaga - a diversity mela', posters and accessory making', a panel discussion on 'Karnataka Police Act Performance', Biryani, a performance piece, a literary fest titled, Atta Galatta and culminates with a pride march on December 2 at Town Hall.

CSMR constitutes various NGOs and independent organisations working for rights of the sexual minorities.
