There's a lot happening during the weekend. Metrolife lists out some of the interesting events .


'Soul Sante'

The 'Sunday Soul Sante', with its many stores and entertainment acts, will be held at Temple Tree, Sahakaranagar, Hebbal, off New Airport Road on October 28, 11.30 am to 11.30 pm.

This time it will also have DJs Rohan Kapoor, Goapu, Spec and Arun spinning the disc for the crowd. Fusion rock band Moonarra will also be performing.


Many impressions

'Borders and Boundaries', an exhibition of paintings by Sham Sunder S, will be held till November 3, 10.30 am to 6 pm, at Gallery Sumukha, 24/10, BTS Bus Depot, Wilson Garden.

Exhibition

'Chromatics', a painting exhibition, will be on at Leela Galleria till October 31. It is being presented by Art Chutney and Leela Palace.

Vivid picture

Galerie De'Arts is presenting, 'Theatre of Life' by S G Vasudev from October 26 to November 25, 11 am to 7 pm (Sundays by request).
The venue is 11th Floor, 1114, Barton Centre, 84, M G Road.

Melodious touch

Ananya is presenting a veena recital by Yogavandana, accompanied by V S Rajagopal (mridangam) and Raghavendra Prakash (ghatam) on October 27, 6.30 pm. The venue is Ananya Sabhangana , 91/2, 4th Main, Malleswaram.

Bharatanatyam

Ananya is presenting Ananya Nrithyollasa-5 in the City.

On the occasion, bharatanatyam recitals by Bhargavi Prasam, Preethi Bharadwaj, Susheela Mehta will be held on October 28, 6 pm at Seva Sadan, 14th Cross, Malleswaram.

'Different Strokes'

'Different Strokes', a painting exhibition by differently-abled artists, organised by Fame India, will be held at Alliance Francaise de Bangalore on October 27, 5 pm.

Festival time

The International Centre for Performing Arts is presenting an 'October Dance and Music Festival' on October 28 (11 am to 9.30 pm). The venue is Government First Grade Degree College Auditorium, near NES Bus Stand, opposite Yelahanka Police Station. For details, call 9902171819.

English play

An English play titled, 'Valley Song' is being performed at Jagriti, Whitefield till November 4 at 8 pm (Tuesday to Saturday) and 3 pm and 6.30 pm on Sunday.

The show is suitable for those above 12 years. The cast includes Jagdish Raja and
Rebecca Spurgeon.

It is directed by Arundhati Raja and the music is by Sankarshan Kini.

Vocal delight

BTM Cultural Academy is presenting a 'Grand Music Festival' on October 27, 5.30 pm at Shree Ramana Maharshi Academy for the Blind, 3rd Cross, 3rd Phase, J P Nagar (near Ragigudda). The festival will feature a vocal recital by Aishwarya Vidya Raghunath. Aishwarya will be accompanied by Nalina Mohan on violin, V Krishna on mridangam and Venkatesh Betta on ghatam.

Mixed treat

Keshava Samskruthi Sabha is presenting a Carnatic classical music and bharatanatyam recital by Vivek V Krishna and Aranya Narain respectively on October 27, 6.15 pm at No. 556, 'Samskruthi Bhavan', 11 Main, ISRO Layout.

Cultural feast

Vivanta by Taj, in association with the Indo-German Cultural Society, is presenting, 'Oktoberfest' on October 27, 7 pm to 11.30 pm at the Trinity Hall. The celebrations will replicate the world's most famous Bavarian 'Oktoberfest' with German food specialties, vibrant and eclectic musical performance by Reisbacher Musikanten — a 21-member band, especially flown in from Bavaria.

'Rangapravesha'

Shraddha Dance Centre will present the bharatanatyam rangapravesha of Anuhitha Nagaraja, a disciple of Guru Shama Krishna, on October 28, 6 pm, at ADA Rangamandira, opposite Ravindra Kalakshetra, J C Road.

'The Good Doctor'

Barking Dog Productions will present 'The Good Doctor', a play written by Neil Simon and directed by N Rishi, on October 27, 3.30 pm and 7 pm and on October 28, 3.30 pm and 7 pm.
