A step into the future

The 'Graduation Day' of M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology for under-graduate and post-graduate courses (BE, B Arch, M Tech., MBA and MCA) was held recently.

The graduation ceremony began with a procession, which was led by controller of examination, MSRIT followed by academic council members, governing body members and the dignitaries. The welcome speech was delivered by principal S Y Kulkarni. He welcomed all the dignitaries on the dais and the graduating students of MSRIT.

He also congratulated the students and described them as the golden batch of MSRIT since MSRIT is celebrating its 50th year.

M R Jayaram, chairman, GEF Foundation, declared the opening of the 'Graduation Day'. He also released the MSRIT souvenir on the occasion. Chief guest Vinod Kumar Nowal, director and CEO, JSW Steels Ltd, Bellary, then addressed the
gathering.

He said that young Indians should build this country into a strong economy. He also advised the students to fix their goals and vision in life so as to achieve greater things. The chief guest and dignitaries distributed gold medals and certificates to all the 63 rank holders.
The graduation function came to an end with the national anthem.
