'I hope to get over this trauma'.
Last week, actress Suma Guha woke up with the shocking news that there was an escort service website misusing her pictures.
The actress, who played the lead in Kannada films like Preethiyinda Ramesh, 'Shock' and yet-to-be released film Attahaasa is currently residing in Mumbai and immediately registered a complaint in the nearest police station.
"This is an attempt to tarnish my image and lower my dignity among people
unknown to me. I still can't believe that something like this has happened," says Suma.
The actress says that she received a message from a well-wisher from Bangalore, who forwarded her the web link which had misused her photos.
"They have used my pictures with a wrong name and they also provided fake details and phone numbers. Iwas really upset and my friends, who found this link, said that these pictures have been there since 2010. Now that the matter is with the police, I am waiting to get a clarification. I just hope to get over this trauma soon," she adds.
But the actress says that this incident will not stop her from acting.
"I have just started off my career and will in no way stop because of this. It is sad that something like this had to happen. If I don't clarify this now, people will think wrongly of me and feel that whatever has been put up by these sites are correct. I just want my well-wishers and fans to know that it's not me and I am being framed for no reason," she says. Currently, the actress is awaiting for the release of Attahasa and is looking forward to working in more Kannada movies.
"I am at ease while working in Kannada films. But I am waiting for the right kind of script, I don't want to simply sign a string of movies. I am also dabbling with some Bengali movies for the time being," she sums up.
