From the alleys of Cooke's Town in Bangalore to the swinging sets of Bollywood, Dino Morea has sure had a meteoric rise.
From essaying numerous roles as an actor to turning a producer, Dino says that when he left Bangalore many years ago, he never thought he would produce a movie one day.
Dino has co-produced Jism 2 with Pooja Bhatt and he has been concentrating on learning and perfecting the art of making a movie.
"You are a wee bit nervous when you bet your money on something. But at the end of it all, I've realised that we have made such a classy product.
I am proud of what we have done," Dino tells Metrolife, even as he obliged his fans for a picture at an event in the City recently.
Did he miss acting in the film? "I guess the actor in me yearned to do some of the scenes but I think production is the best thing that has happened to me in the recent past.
I learnt so much on the job. When you act, you don't realise that there's so much that goes on behind the scenes," he recalls and adds, "I can't wait to see how people will react to the movie."
Dino believes in taking risks, big or small. He thinks only constant experimenting will lead to progress and help one grow as an actor. "It prepares and takes you to the next level," he informs.
He may have tasted the good life — dated the most beautiful women and bagged the best of roles — in Mumbai, but he still holds vivid memories of Bangalore and gets nostalgic at the mention of the place.
"I love the City and come here as often as I can. Old Bangalore is close to my heart," he says.
Apart from acting, he helps his brother run a chain of restaurants in Mumbai.
