A tale of two brothers
Dharamveer airs on July 31 at 9 pm on Zee Cinema. In the movie, an astrologer informs Satpal Singh that his nephew will eventually kill him. When Satpal's sister, Maharani Meenakshi, gives birth to twins, he has one thrown from the castle walls and replaces the second with his own son.
Years later, the two princes have grown up —one is Dharam, who is rescued by Sheroo, a bird. The second is Veer, who is brought up in the palace. Satpal finds out to his horror that his wife, Roopmati, had switched the children a second time, as a result of which he ended up abusing his own son.
Now, he plots with prince Sujan Singh, leader of the gypsies. Their goal is to create enmity between Dharam and Veer, have one kill the other in combat and subsequently hang the other. To start this, he has Lohar arrested and charged with mishandling Meenakshi's carriage, has his own hands chopped off and now, Dharam is out for revenge — and he will destroy anyone who comes in his way.
