Jism 2 has been the centre of much speculation ever since Sunny Leone — previously a porn star — was literally plucked from the 'Bigg Boss' house and tossed into the project as the heroine.
The first installment of the movie was a steamy experience on its own and this one promises to be hotter, more suspense-filled and very emotional. The bold project, which has been directed by Pooja Bhatt, recently received an A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification — not surprisingly — but Pooja Bhatt has remained adamant in not allowing any major cuts to the film's steamy sequences.
The night before the film was set to pass through the censors, she tweeted, "Verdict on Jism 2 Censors tomorrow (Wednesday). No way I am going to accept cuts that mutilate my film. But if the cuts work, shall be gracious (sic)."
She had faced a similar dilemma when the John Abraham and Bipasha Basu-starrer, Jism had passed through the Censor Board. Recalling this period, she adds, "Ten years ago when we 'censored' Jism, they cut out two shots that seem laughable in this day and age, but were considered provocative then. I accepted the two cuts on Jism ten years ago because it did not mar our narrative in the least and frankly, made our edit far more aesthetic." Jism 2 also features Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh. It hits the screens on July 27.
