Ganesh and Bhavana starrer 'Romeo' has had a good opening and its director P C Shekar reveals that he is in talks with a well-known hero to remake the Kannada film in Tamil.

"I can't reveal the name of the hero but he is impressed with the script and if everything goes well, then this will be made in Tamil with a big actor as the hero. This is my third film in Kannada and I am glad that people have responded rather well to the movie," Shekar says.
Shekar points out that the promotional events such as the audio and trailer launches have given good results.
"Our efforts to popularise the film have not gone wasted," he says and adds, "We are in an era when you have to keep doing something new to attract people. The marketing phase was crucial to the success of any film. In fact, good marketing will give you a feeling of the response."
Shekar says 'Romeo' is based on the classic romantic character. "It stresses on how a loving relationship transforms itself over a period of time and marriage happens to be the launch pad for this transformation," he adds.
Shekar points out that the character in the film reflects the characteristics of the classic Romeo.
Shilpa Ganesh, who has watched the movie, says, "The first-half is unlike the second part of the movie. Ganesh has portrayed the character of Romeo really well. He is just like one of those Romeos you would find at street corners. It's a different film."
