It is time for children of all ages in the City to gear up as Deccan Herald and Prajavani, in association with Chitrakala Parishat, are organising painting, drawing and face-painting competitions.

As part of the Chitra Santhe 2013, the competitions will be held on January 27 at Chitrakala Parishat.
Participants need to bring their own painting materials and the theme will be given on the spot.

Drawing sheets will be provided. Apart from the competitions, there will be classes on arts and crafts,
calligraphy, origami and mask making. Those interested can visit the Deccan Herald and Prajavani stalls at the
venue.

Spot registrations will take place on January 27, 10 am at Chitrakala Parishat. Being the tenth edition
of the Chitra Santhe, Chitrakala Parishat is honouring 10 renowned art teachers and two critics who have written exclusively about Karnataka's art and artists from last three decades.

A special exhibition of art works by fine arts college teachers from the State will also be held at the gallery.
The main aim of this Santhe is to get the artists on a single platform to demonstrate and showcase their creativity and their contributions towards art.

It also identifies and encourages upcoming artists, while educating people about the importance of art in life. Chitra Santhe will be held from 9 am to 8 pm.

For details on the painting competition, call 9845553848 or 9845968518.
