German language course
The Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan is offering a combined weekday evening and weekend German Language Courses from 17th February 2013 at its new centre on Cunningham Road.
These courses are designed according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The courses are conducted in a learner-friendly ambience by highly qualified, trained teachers (trained in India and at the Institut Head Office in Munich, Germany), using the latest interactive teaching methods and state-of-the-art equipment.

CFA Institute has announced the online launch of the Claritas™ Investment Certificate. Claritas is aimed at professionals in the financial services industry, especially in investment roles like asset managers, financial institutions, media and consulting groups, etc. It will provide a foundational level of education, aimed at increasing levels of knowledge and understanding of the investment industry for the many professional disciplines within financial services, including consultancy, compliance, marketing and sales, legal, HR, IT and operations. The program is made up of 7 self-study modules covering the industry, ethics, tools, instruments, structure, controls and client needs. Those completing the certificate will emerge with a clear understanding of the investment industry and their professional responsibilities within it. With Claritas, learners can study online in their own time. The programme can be completed in around 100 hours of study, over an expected 3 to 6 months period.

The first batch commences on 26th January over 2 weekends, and the second batch from the 23rd of February 2013. The troupe shares a common passion for music, theatre and art and comprises of professional and semi-professional performers and trainers. The course 'Broadway Bangalore' aims to cover the aspects of singing, acting and dancing along with the basics of light, sound, stage, and set design. Indian Institute for Human Settlements (IIHS), a national education institution in association with Environmental Design Solutions (EDS) has announced a training programme on Passive Solar Design, Daylighting and Simulations for Green Buildings. The programme will be held at the IIHS City Campus, Bangalore from February 2 and 3 from 9 am to 5.30 pm.
Daylighting is an essential aspect of good building design and is a key feature in green buildings. Key goals in daylighting design are to provide sufficient illuminance, minimise the perception of glare, and provide for overall visual comfort. The Federal Manipal School of Banking is a fully residential campus offering a one-year (nine montha of intensive campus training and three month internship at a branch of Federal Bank) full time program on various areas of Banking and Managment disciplines, coupled with intensive grooming and soft-skills training.
