The Inner Wheel District 319 held its 36th District Assembly Snehotsava
on Tuesday at the KASSIA Auditorium.

The programme saw the installation ceremony of the district assembly and district executive committee for the year 2012- 2013. Club members from across the City and State had assembled for the occasion and the atmosphere was surely a festive one.

Bidding adieu to her post as the district chairman, Amutha Suresh, said, "Last year has been an eventful one and it wouldn't have been possible without the support of my home club members. It felt like it was just yesterday when I was standing on the dais with jitters waiting to take on my new responsibility. I have given my best to this position and I am sure the one taking over will have a lot more to contribute."

It was an emotional moment when Meena Amblee was installed as the new district chairman. She was introduced by her friends Shailaja Bhat and Rekha Babu and Meena was almost moved to tears listening to it.

Shailaja said that Meena has always been a constant support to her through all these years.

"She was popularly known as 'Mic Meena' as she has excellent communication skills and has compered for many programmes of Inner Wheel. I am sure she will do great in her new role," she added.

After the installation ceremony, Meena was eager to introduce her team. "The word Snehotsava is such a simple one, yet it carries so much significance. There are so many goals that are to be achieved and with the support of the team, I am sure we can all work together and fulfill them," said Meena.

The newly-appointed committee for the year includes immediate past chairman Amutha Suresh as the association council member; Asha Shailendra as the vice- chairman; Suma Ravi as the district secretary; Girija Ananth as the treasurer; Malavika Krishna Murthy as the district ESO; Padmini Nagchandra as the district ISO; Chandrika Praful as the editor and Renu Iyer as the past district chairman.

Also present among the dignitaries was Sarita Lunani, the association president, who was given a special introduction by her colleagues through a power-point presentation.
This was soon followed by the release of the chairman's newsletter. The district directory Mythri was released by the chief guest of the day, Badri Prasad, district governor RI Dist 3190.
