Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan is presenting the worldwide launch of the 'Bitfilm 13 International Digital Film Competition' on January 17, 6.30 pm at Jagaa, Shanthinagar, Double Road.
This is a part of the 'Indo-German Jamboree', marking the end of the 'Year of Germany and India 2011.2012: Infinite Opportunities'.
This event will mark the beginning of a worldwide online voting action for the 'Bitfilm Awards' in 3D animation, 2D animation, hybrid digital films and Machinima (films shot live in computer games).
The worldwide audience will decide which films will win the 'Bitfilm Awards', to be handed over at the 'Bitfilm' closing event in Hamburg (Germany) in April, 2013. 'Bitfilm' has been showing films in a creative and innovative way since 2000.
'Bitfilm' will present a selection of 12 nominated films, which represent a huge variety of genres and styles. For details, call 25205305.

Attakkalari India Biennial Festival '13 is presenting a workshop on 'Lighting Design' by Horst Muhlberger from Germany on January 19 and 20, from 10 am to 6 pm, at Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts, Wilson Garden.
