A process of discovery
Actress Manisha Koirala says that her ongoing treatment for ovarian cancer in New York has helped her get in touch with her spiritual side. She also reveals that she is planning to share her moments of struggle through an autobiography.
"Doing my best and leaving rest to bhagwan (god). I noticed, surrendering gives peace. Learning a lot through this process... actually most of my spiritual learnings are no more a concept, but now all are being experienced... actualised," Manisha posts on her Facebook page.
"Is it a curse or by default a wish come true? Would be writing my thoughts on this process of discovery in my autobiography. I think I am ready now for it. There is lot to achieve (sic)," she adds.
The 42-year-old, who hails from an influential family in Nepal, established space for herself with films like
Saudagar, 'Bombay' and Lajja. She underwent her first session of chemotherapy earlier this month.
On a fun ride
Ajay Devgan is currently shooting for his next film, Himmatwala, near one of the beaches of Mumbai and apparently, the actor has found an exciting way to commute to the sets.
Since his vanity van is often parked quite a distance from the place he's supposed to shoot, the actor decided to travel the distance on a beach buggy. In fact, this isn't the actor's first time on one of these
vehicles — he also used them while shooting for the Golmaal series and 'All the Best' in Goa.
A source close to the team says, "Ajay loves beach bikes and whenever he gets a chance, he rides them. He used to commute only on the buggies when he was in Goa, shooting for Golmaal and 'All the Best', and when he learnt that the same bikes were available here in Mumbai, he did not miss the chance to ride them."
Good times ahead
Sidharth Malhotra, who made his debut with Karan Johar's high-school drama 'Student of the Year', is going places. The tinsel town newbie proved himself when he played the role of an ambitious middle-class student in his first film, in which he acted alongside star kids like Alia Bhatt — the daughter of Mahesh Bhatt — and Varun Dhawan, who is David Dhawan's son. And now, he's signed on his next project, one again courtesy Karan Johar, his 'mentor' in the film industry.
What's more, he's going to be sharing screen space with Parineeti Chopra, who first appeared on the silver screen in 'Ladies Vs Ricky Behl', this time. The film, which has recently been titled Hasee Toh Phasee,
will jointly be produced by Dharma Productions and Phantom Productions.
"Happy to announce the new Dharma-Phantom co-production with Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra (sic)!" Karan tweets, further posting, "The film will be directed by ad filmmaker Vinil Mathew. Title to be announced soon." He later confirmed that the film would be called Hasee Toh Phasee.
This is Sidharth's second film with Dharma Productions. He's obviously looking forward to the project, and took to a popular micro-blogging site to vent his excitement. "Here it is guys, my second film! ...really excited to work with Parineeti Chopra, Phantom and Vinil," he tweets.
Parineeti was last seen in Yash Raj Films' hit film Ishaqzaade, opposite Arjun Kapoor.
