Aindrita Ray is back with a bang. Two of her movies are lined up for release this year. She is relieved that her films are almost done. The actress is only left to shoot the remaining song sequences.

"I'm shooting for Rajanikantha with actor Duniya Vijay and the film is directed by Pradeep Raj. In 'Tony', I'm acting opposite actor Srinagar Kitty and it is being directed by Jayatheertha," she says.

Explaining her bubbly character in Rajanikantha, Aindrita says she plays an innocent and gullible college girl who believes everything that the hero tells her. "I basically play a dumb blonde," she adds.

"The movie has several humourous scenes, which will definitely crack everyone up," she explains.

Giving details about 'Tony', she says her character is quite contrary to her role in Rajanikantha. "I play an independent, homely and righteous character who is content with a salary of Rs 10,000, whereas Kitty plays a guy who runs after money," she describes.

Many people tend to keep track of the number of movies an actor does rather than the quality of work. Aindrita believes that commercial movies do well when compared to performance-oriented ones. "The roles offered to me have to be significant or there has to be an oomph element in my character. I'm accepting a lot of projects currently," she admits.

Aindrita is very happy with the way her career is shaping up and says she is ready to explore other film industries.

"Considering my mother tongue is Bengali, I would love to do a Bengali film. In fact, I missed an opportunity to work with one of the leading actors of the Bengali film industry because of issue with the dates," says Aindrita, who is pleased to have worked with the finest directors in Kannada.

With producers not giving too many options, she confesses that she does not want to do anything that is stale. "I don't really enjoy remakes," says the actress, who wants to work with Darshan and Ganesh in the future.

Although Aindrita's favourite destinations are Dubai, New York and Thailand, she loves to travel and explore new places with family and friends.
The actor is a self-proclaimed foodie, who loves chocolate cakes and cheese cakes apart from her zest for acting.

"I'm a big foodie. Most actors are jealous of me because I eat a lot and don't tend to put on weight," states Aindrita, who has recently joined a gym.

Aindrita admits that she is a shopaholic and when it comes to shopping, she prefers something simple, whether it is from the street or branded clothes.
When asked about her style statement, she is quick to reply, "Anything simple carried with a lot of attitude and a smile is ideal."
