The designer-wear saris come in the chiffon, georgette and netted variations. There are cocktail saris as well as the ready-to-wear ones. "What stands out in all the saris is the intricate workmanship. Because of this, the saris are heavy and suited only for special occasions," explains Hari Prasad. The salwar suits fall under two categories — Diya and Gili. "The salwars that fall under Diya are reasonably priced — from Rs 800 — and more suited for daily wear. Those under the Gili category, starting from Rs 2,000, have extensive work on them," he says. There is also an enviable range of pashmina shawls and stoles.
