Reliving the old days

The Dabangg 2 team, which was recently shooting in Mehboob Studios, Bandra, had a very special visitor on the sets. Apparently, while shooting for the movie, Salman's Khan friend Aamir Khan decided to drop in for a quick chat.

The duo sat around and shared quite a few jokes, reliving their Andaz Apna Apna days. A source close to the team says, "When Aamir sir heard that Salman bhai was shooting in the neighbourhood, he made it a point to come and visit him after wrapping up his shoot. Salman bhai was very happy with this kind gesture and both of them chatted for quite a long time. Bhai even showed him a little footage of what we had shot that day."

An Arbaaz Khan Production's film, Dabangg 2 also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Prakash Raj, Vinod Khanna and Arbaaz Khan.

Connections with all the Khans

Rani Mukerji, who once played roles in a string of hits, has shared screen space with some of the biggest names in the industry.

In fact, in her last film, Talaash, she was once more paired with Aamir Khan. The actress candidly admits that she is honoured to acted with the three Khans of the industry — Aamir, Shah Rukh and Salman — and hopes this streak of good luck continues in future as well.

"It's a great honour to work with them in any film and I have always said that I always learn from them because I started my career with them. Hopefully, this association with all the three Khans will be there for a long time," the 34-year-old expresses. Rani adds that more than just films, it is her personal bond with each of the actors that matters.

"Hopefully, I will be acting with them when I am 80. And more than a film's association, it is the friendship which I have built with them over the years that is important. I hope this friendship stays forever," she says. Rani was also seen in Aiyaa this year, which did not fare well at the box office.

'Anushka has one good work'

Imran Khan has locked lips with Anushka Sharma in Vishal Bhardwaj's Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola — but he admits that he finds it awkward to kiss someone he isn't romantically involved with. "It's awkward when you are kissing someone who you are not romantically involved with, because it is a very intimate act. Normally, you do it with somebody who you are very close to — but here you are kissing someone who you don't know that well," says Imran.

Nevertheless, Imran feels Anushka is very talented and she has done a very good job in this Vishal Bhardwaj-directorial.

"We have done a photoshoot together. I watched her films and I felt she is a very good actress. But until you work with a person, you don't really get to appreciate him or her. When I actually started working with her, I got to know more about her talent. She has done very good work in this film," he adds.

Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola also features Arya Babbar, Pankaj Kapoor and Shabana Azmi in important roles. The film is slated to release on January 11 next year.

A project with the Sinha family?

Umesh Shukla, the director of 'OMG - Oh My God!', has been approached to helm a family drama with actress Sonakshi Sinha in the lead. "Talks are on, but nothing is official right now. I have not signed it yet. I am developing a script right now and I am looking forward to it," Umesh says.

He adds that he has been approached by Sonakshi's father, Shatrughan Sinha's family banner for the movie. "Sonakhi did an item

number for my film, 'OMG - Oh My God!' and we are very good friends. I share a very good relationship with her family. Sonakshi will play the lead in my film for sure," he adds. Apparently, the project will be "a family drama and issue-based".

"They approached me to make a film for them and they are looking for some good content. It will be a light-hearted project," he says, vaguely. Considering that Sonakshi's brother Luv too is an actor, it would make sense for the entire family to have a part to play in the project. But this is clearly not on Umesh's mind. "

I will not do that (rope in all family members). It all depends on the script. Just to get the family together, I will not cast them. It should justify the role. So, let's seve how things fall in place," he says.
