'Akshay has been very inspiring'
Shatrughan Sinha, fondly known as Shotgun, is keen on doing a film with Amitabh Bachchan.
The two are said to have discussed various possibilities of coming together and a project is now being designed for them. "We haven't worked together since Shaan and Kaala Patthar. It would be
really nice to work with him again. He's a good actor and a fine human being," says Shatrughan.
The veteran actor recently had a heart surgery and seems to have become extremely health conscious after this. "After my heart surgery, (one of) my first social outings was to his (Amitabh Bachchan) 70th birthday party. I told him I wouldn't have stepped out to such a crowded gathering for anyone else. I broke my golden health rule for a golden human being," he adds. It's evident that Shatrughan is very impressed by Akshay Kumar.
"He has been very inspiring with his good-health talk. He came here and very humbly told me how important it is to eat, sleep and exercise well. I am now on a different routine altogether. I wake up very early in the morning and go for a long walk," the actor states, adding, "I'll be resuming my yoga very soon. Late nights are completely out — not that I partied late anyway."
As soon as Shatrughan is back to completely normalcy, he will start a film with Akshay.
"It's a subject that he has been desirous of doing with me for a long time. Akshay came and told me, Sir, ab to meri baat maan lijiye (Agree to me now at least). I've agreed. But he has laid down a pre-condition. Akshay says our shooting shifts would be 7 am to 2 pm. I am game," he smiles.
Plans for a sequel
In Bollywood, fads spread faster than fire. The latest fascination seems to be that of announcing sequels.
But Remo D'Souza is a step ahead of the trend — he's so confident of his directorial venture 'ABCD - AnyBody Can Dance' that he has announced its sequel two months before the film even releases. Remo feels that he has a lot to tell the world about dance and one film isn't enough to do so.
"Yes, there are plans for 'ABCD 2'. I have been a dancer and choreographer all my life before I turned director and I want to make as many films on dance as possible in this lifetime," he says. "I will have to work out some cool ideas for the premise of the sequel, as I have given my all to 'ABCD'. But one thing is for sure, the sequel will definitely have Prabhu Deva in the lead."
Remo and Prabhu Deva's friendship goes back a long way.
They have been friends for over 10 years now. An insider reveals, "Remo looks up to Prabhu. He has been a guiding light and has been there for him when he needed Prabhu. In fact, he was the first and last choice for 'ABCD' as Remo told him he wasn't even thinking of anyone else for the lead role."
Prabhu Deva is undoubtedly one of the best dancers in our country and the love for the art brought Remo and Prabhu together.
Bruce Willis speaks Punjabi
The fifth installment in Hollywood's action-packed 'Die Hard' franchise — Bruce Willis' 'A Good Day To Die Hard' — will not only release in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telegu but Punjabi as well — a first-of-its-kind event for any Hollywood film.
Apparently, the producers of the high octane flick are currently in talks with top Punjabi celebrities for voice overs.
The film, which is directed by John Moore and written by Skip Woods, will see Bruce Willis as he reprises the lead role of John McClane, who finds himself in Moscow and gets caught up in a terrorist plot with his estranged son. 'A Good Day To Die Hard' is set for release on February 22, 2013.
