Then he discovers that the train in which he is travelling — the 'Very Fast Train' — certainly lives up to its name. After that, he stumbles onto the French Riviera and spoils the latest movie production of snobbish film-maker Carson Clay. Two brothers on different paths
Deewar stars Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor, Nirupa Roy, Neetu Singh and Parveen Babi. The movie is about Anand Verma, a trade unionist, who — having been defeated and disgraced by the management of his firm — leaves the house. His two young sons Vijay and Ravi Verma are left under the care of his wife, Sumintra Verma.
Vijay carried the stigma of his father's indiscretion, in the form of a tattoo on his hand, to be borne till death. Vijay had spent his life on the footpaths, seen nights of starvation and poverty and the abuses slung at his mother.
On the other hand, Ravi had the toughness of his father, tender love of his mother and undying affection of his brother. Ravi becomes a police inspector and Vijay turns to criminal activities. Watch the movie on Zee Cinema at 9 pm on December 11.
All praises for his co-star
Television actor Rishabh Sinha, who is currently seen in Qubool Hai, is in
awe of his co-star and on-screen brother Karan Singh Grover. Karan and Rishabh, who play step brothers Ayaan and Asaad in the show, share a great camaraderie on the sets.
"Karan bhai has been very kind to me. Since this is my first acting stint, he consistently helps me with my scenes and gives me acting tips. I'm totally in awe of his physique, his sense of style and his persona. He has an amazing screen presence," says Rishabh. "You can't help but notice him, even if he is lurking somewhere behind in the frame.
And don't even ask about his fan following. That is so crazy! I have never seen women go berserk after a television star," he adds.
Rishabh says he strives to achieve a status like Karan. "He not only helps me professionally, but has also taken care of me on my personal front since I have just shifted base to Mumbai from Delhi. I strive to achieve the status he has achieved," he explains.
