'Bipasha is a fabulous actress'

Bipasha Basu isn't afraid to experiment when it comes to the genres of her movies — her rather gory act in Raaz 3 stands testament to that. Now, she is all set now to be part of a sci-fi film directed by Vikram Bhatt.

"Bipasha Basu is one actress in Bollywood who is ready to experiment with
different genres. Besides, Bipasha suits the role for my sci-fi film," says Bhatt, who also worked with the actress in Raaz 3.

"She is a fabulous actress and is very enthusiastic about her work. I can't think of
anyone other than Bipasha for my film. She is perfect," he adds. Bhatt has earlier directed Bipasha in films like Aetbaar and Footpath.

Asked if he considers Bipasha to be his lucky charm, he replies, "Nothing as such. I don't think (of her as) lucky charm, but she is definitely one actress who has evolved over the years and has proved herself."

Bhatt explains that the film will go on floors next year. "It is a very special film for me. I can't talk much about the film, but it will go on floors in May, 2013. It is a very interesting story," he expresses.

And the villain's back!

Bollywood's thunderous baddie Pradeep Rawat — known for his famous villainous roles across the various Indian film industries — is back to what he does best. After winning accolades for his fearsome character in the Aamir Khan-starrer Ghajini, Pradeep is back on-screen as the lead antagonist in the comedy film Grand Masti, which is a sequel to the film Masti.

One of the top-most names down South, Pradeep has been shooting back to back for his Tollywood films — but when Ashok Thakeria's Grand Masti came his way, the
actor was super excited and took it up immediately.

A source close to the team confirms that the talented veteran is a part of the comedy sequel. "Pradeep Rawat portrays the main negative character in the film. He was last seen in Ghajini and the entire team felt that the kind of fear factor needed for this role would be wonderfully brought out by him — as he is easily the next Amrish Puri of our era."

With over 50 films to his credit, Pradeep has been seen in a number of memorable roles in films like Agneepath, Koyla, Sarfarosh, Lagaan, 'The Hero' and Deewar as well.

Produced by Ashok Thakeria and Indra Kumar, Grand Masti is directed by Indra Kumar and stars Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, Manjari Fadnis, Karishma Tanna, Kainaat Arora, Bruna Abdalah, Maryam Zakaria and Suresh Menon as well.

Emotional time for Farhan

The shoot for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag has finally been completed and its lead actor, Farhan Akhtar, is clearly getting emotional about it. He says that he is feeling a sense of loss because the team will now disperse. "As the shoot on Bhaag Milkha Bhaag crosses the finish line, enveloped by a sense of loss.

The unit — our temporary commune — is broken up. Best wishes to all," tweets the 38-year-old.

Produced and directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the film is a biopic on athlete Milkha Singh — fondly called Flying Sikh — Farhan plays the title role. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag also features Sonam Kapoor.

Sonakshi shakes a leg

Everyone knows that Sonakshi Sinha knows a thing or two about dancing — in fact, she matched steps quite well with Prabhu Deva in the song Go Govinda, from 'Oh My God'.

Apparently, the actress is into Indian classical dances like kathakali and bharatanatyam. Not many people knew about this — until it came to light while shooting for the song Dagabaaz Re in Dabangg 2.

A source close to the film says, "There is a sequence in the song where there are kathakali dancers.

When Sonakshi came to know about this, she got really excited. She is an actor who loves learning new things and, in fact, has even learnt some kathakali and requested the dancers to teach her a few more steps."

Dabangg 2 hits the theatres December 21. The movie stars Salman Khan and
Sonakshi Sinha, along with Prakash Raj, Vinod Khanna and Arbaaz Khan.

Kareena goes the Salman way

There's been a lot of talk about Kareena's item number, Fevicol Se, in Dabangg 2 — and now, it seems that she's doing everything she can to ensure the song isn't a let-down.

Apparently, Farah Khan — who is choreographing the number — wanted to incorporate some sort of special element into the video; something that has mass appeal and is still cool. Finally, it was decided to shoot a sequence in which Kareena sports Salman's stylish frames, which created such a stir in the movie.

A source close to the film says, "Farah wanted some element in the song that was massy yet uber cool and so, we decided to give Kareena the shades, contrasting her Lucknowi dhoti-kurta look. As everyone expected, Kareena has rocked the look like no one can."
