'Everyone loves a good love story'
After a long wait, actor Nitin Gowda dreams finally came true with the release of his debut movie, Hosa Prema Purana.
As the title suggests, the movie showcases love from a different view point.
Nitin says that he always wanted to debut with a love story."Everyone loves a good love story. But, I wanted to be a part of something different and this movie offers that," he adds. Tackling the issues of live-in relationships and living without commitments, the movie is definitely something different for the Kannada audience.
Ask him if the masses will be able to digest a concept like this and the actor says, "It will be tough, as live-in relationships are not spoken about openly — but I feel that people will be able to relate to it."But Nitin is quick to clarify that in no way does the movie label live-in relationships as good or bad. "It's not like we are supporting the trend or mocking it. This is just a story of a boy and a girl living together and what happens when a third person, with a different point of view, enters the flat," he adds.
Watching himself on the big screen for the first time and seeing the audiences' reactions to the film was an experience he says he will never forget. "Acting has always been on my mind. My father Mariswamy, who was named as Roopesh in Kannada industry, had acted in a number of movies. And Ihave grown up watching his movies. Now, watching myself on the screen feels really nice," he describes.
Now that he has completed his first film, Nitin is on the lookout for his next project.
"I want to try different kind of roles — maybe even an action-packed film. There are offers, but I will wait and see what is in store for me," he sums up.
