A deadly game to play
In 'Zathura: A Space Adventure', a pair of bickering brothers must put aside their differences if they want to survive and save their elder sister, when the board game they are playing comes alive and flings them — together with their house and elder sister — into outer space. The boys soon realise that there is only one way to get back to Earth — keep playing to finish the game. Trying to stay alive
The film '127 Hours' follows the true story of Aron Ralston (played by James Franco), a mountain climber. The story follows a tragic accident and Aron's subsequent survival over a period of 127 hours — that's more than five days.
A boulder rolls down the mountain he had been climbing and crashes on Aron's arm, trapping him in an isolated canyon in Utah. The film airs on Star Movies at 6.45 pm on November 12.
Back to her roots
Watch 'Sweet Home Alabama' on Zee Studio at 8.10 pm on November 12. Melanie (played by Reese Witherspoon) is an up-and-coming fashion designer living in New York. She gets a proposal from the city's most eligible bachelor. Back in the south, where she comes from, Melanie has a family and a husband who just refuses to divorce her. She decides to make a quick trip to Alabama and get her husband to sign the divorce papers and straighten things out. But soon, Melanie regrets her decision as she feels that her life in Alabama was far better than what she is planning to have now.
It's good versus evil
Green Lantern' stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong and Tim Robbins. The movie is about a cocky test pilot, Hal Jordan (played by Ryan Reynolds), who acquires superhuman powers when he is chosen by 'The Ring' — the willpower-fed source of power of the Green Lantern Intergalactic Corps. He reluctantly takes on the challenges these superheroes face. Putting his self-doubt aside and spurred on by his sense of duty and love for his beautiful colleague Carol Ferris (essayed by Blake Lively), he is soon called to defend mankind from Parallax, a super-powerful being who feeds on fear. He is the universe's last chance, as many Lanterns have been killed and the Corps is weakened. Tune in to the movie on HBO at 11.20 pm on November 12.
A game of cat and mouse
Catch 'The Package' on MGMat 10.45 pm on November 12. Johnny Gallagher, a master sergeant in the United States Army, is assigned to escort Thomas, a prisoner, back to the United States. When Thomas escapes, Johnny pursues him and discovers that Thomas is actually a professional assassin hired to kill the leader of the Soviet Union. Johnny is joined by his ex-wife Eileen, a lieutenant colonel in the army and Chicago police officer Milan Delich. Watch the movie to find out how events unravel.
