QI am a 19-year-old girl. Of late I have been getting pimples between my eyebrows. I do not know the exact cause of this. The pimples reduce for a while and again new ones appear. I don't have an oily skin.
On the contrary, I have a very dry skin and scalp leading to dandruff. My skin peels often during winter and is very sensitive to the sun too. Kindly suggest some home remedies for my problems and also mention the type of food I should include in my diet.
A The pimples between the eyebrows, top of the nose and forehead are probably due to dandruff. In fact, dandruff can affect eyebrows and eyelashes too. Keep your hair away from the face. Wash your pillow cover and towel daily. Wash your hair with a mild herbal shampoo three times a week, using less shampoo and rinsing very well with water. Half an hour before shampoo, apply two tablespoons of vinegar on the scalp, massaging it lightly into the scalp.
Once a week, heat olive oil or til oil and apply on the scalp at night, using cotton wool and rubbing gently to remove the dandruff flakes. Leave on overnight. Next morning, apply the juice of a lemon on the scalp 15 minutes before shampoo.
Apply sandalwood paste on the pimples. For dryness, take two teaspoons of curds, add a pinch of turmeric and apply on the face. Wash off with plenty of water after 15 minutes. Apply sunscreen lotion before going out in the sun. Include fresh fruits, raw salads, sprouts and yogurt in your daily diet. Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water daily. Add the juice of a lemon to a glass of water and have it first thing in the morning.
