It's all about finding one's own unique style with the Spanish brand Vinegar. Meant for girls who are ready to experiment and think beyond the traditional rules of style, the brand offers a medley of lines, cuts and silhouettes in myriad colours and striking prints. It has designs right off the ramp and at the same time, allows one to mix and match — wearing something that is unique to each individual.

Quirky and fun elements

With its latest collection, 'Vinegar' has gone completely vibrant. The colours are very out there and can make any woman stand apart in a crowd. One can find a whole lot of dresses, skirts, shorts, gowns, tops and even tunics and pants.

The collection is largely based on colour-blocking and polka prints; one can also find hints of lace on some of the outfits. For those who aren't into prints, there are also solid-coloured shirts, maxi dresses, Thai wraparound pants in bright fuchsia and turquoise, and even tunics that suit every body type.

For the fun and fearless women, there are jumpsuits, cute shorts and little backless tops with lace trims as well. Varsha Bhawnani, the founder of Vinegar, says, "The brand may be from Spain but it has imbibed the designs from there and the sensibilities of Indian embroidery, and fused these together to suit the customers here."

Looking at the fashion trends in the City, Varsha says that there has always been a need for experimentation. "And Vinegar allows that. It's not necessary to wear an entire outfit from Vinegar itself.

With the vibrant colours that are available this season, one can actually team a solid-colour shirt with a pair of jeans or the pants with a more sober shirt or top. It's about making a statement and women these days are confident and willing to go that extra mile to create a style statement of their own," she says.

Apart from formal, casual and party wear, the brand also has introduced a tribal-wear line, which is more bohemian in nature. Varsha says that the bohemian style is very much in vogue these days and also plays a huge role in the comfort aspect of one's wardrobe.

As for the bold colours in the office-wear line, Varsha states that these days, Indian offices are open to a bit of colour. "A dash of blue or a green jacket over a white blouse makes a great outfit for work," she adds.

The brand also has a huge collection of accessories. One can find tribal embroidery on belts and jackets. The vibrancy is evident even in their collection of bags, clutches and heels.

When it comes to jewellery, Varsha says that they have a good collection of bold neckpieces, earrings and bracelets. "A good bold accessory can brighten up any outfit. But one must remember that the key to any outfit is not to over do it but to balance out the colours and the accessories," she sums up.
