The jewellery-lovers of the City can now look forward to getting a glimpse of pieces from all over the country under one roof.
'Jewels of India', an exhibition-cum-sale, will be held between October 27 and 29 from 10 am to 8 pm at St Joseph's Indian High School.
The exhibition will see jewellers from across the country exhibiting their best pieces, including gold, diamond, platinum and gem jewellery.
Big brands from various cities will exhibit their ornaments too.
"This year, our brand ambassador is Sumalatha Ambareesh and the exhibition is exclusive to Bangalore. I felt there is a hole in the market when it comes to retail jewellery exhibitions.
Though other cities are organising these exhibitions on a regular basis, Bangalore had nothing like it. That is why we decided to organise 'Jewels of India' some years ago," informs Sandeep Bekal, the organiser and convener of the exhibition.
He adds that the exhibition is held once a year so as to maintain its exclusivity. "Since this is the festive season, people do want to splurge on some jewellery. Hence, here, women can see various kinds of jewellery under one roof and then decide what to buy. Our show is not outlandish but refined," he adds.
Sumalatha Ambareesh, who is the brand ambassador of the exhibition, says that she loves the collection and has been associated with 'Jewels of India' for a long time.
"The best part about this exhibition is that you can take your own sweet time to choose what you want. You can choose the style, cut, colour and then buy what you like.
Moreover, I feel that gold is a wise investment. The price of gold is rising constantly and women should buy gold for security," she advises.
Pratap Kamath, the managing director of a City-based jewellery store, states, "We have been associated with the exhibition for a long time and have got a great response both during and after it. Many customers came to our stores and shopped after seeing our exhibits."
