Strange and unforseen repercussions

Tune in to 'Source Code' on HBO at 9 pm on October 22. The movie stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan, Vera Farmiga, Jeffrey Wright and Michael Arden. It revolves around the startling concept of inhabiting a person's mind for the few minutes that the brain is still active post death — the US military forces believe they can use this to counteract powerful terrorist threats aimed against their country.

What they don't suspect, however, is that using Source Code could have strange repercussions; outcomes that they never dreamed of.

In an alternate reality

Planet of the Apes' stars Mark Wahlberg, Tim Roth, Helena Bonham Carter, Michael Clarke Duncan and Paul Giamatti. Leo Davidson (played by Mark Wahlberg) is an astronaut, who is working at retrieving a monkey in space. He lands up on a planet full of apes that can talk and appear almost like human beings. They capture Leo and put him in a cage along with other human beings. The apes seem to hate all humans — except for one. Ari (played by Helena Bonham Carter) is a female ape, who is determined to help them. Watch the film to see whether Leo and the others get out of the planet of apes. It airs on October 22 at 10.56 pm on Star Movies.

'I learnt a lot from Yash Chopra'

Every actor or actress who has made it big in tinsel town has someone to thank for it — more often than not, mentors who have taken them under their wing and paved their way to success. And there are some stars who take every chance to pay back these people. Like Shah Rukh Khan, for instance, who built his bungalow Mannat with the money he made from the YRF camp and the advances Yash Chopra gave him.

"I have seriously learnt a lot from Yashji in the last 20 years of my work with him, from my Darr days. I have been hearing what he has been saying and teaching me over the years and that is the reason why I was chosen to speak with him on his eightieth
birthday," remarks Shah Rukh Khan. Yash Chopra was, in fact, the man who made Shah Rukh the king of romance.
