Humour behind enemy lines
Get Smart' is an action-packed movie with a liberal dose of humour. Maxwell Smart (played by Steve Carell) works in the administration department of a spy agency. Their head office is attacked and that's when the chief decides to make Smart a spy too. His partner is the beautiful and sexy Agent 99 (portrayed by Anne Hathaway). The two of them parachute off a plane and land in Russian territory to spy on terrorists. While they bumble their way through — all thanks to Smart's antics — their attackers have already set up a bomb at a concert. Will Smart and Agent 99 be able to save the audience? He, reluctantly at first, takes on the challenges these superheroes face.
Putting his self-doubts aside and spurred on by his sense of duty and love for his beautiful, intellectually-equal, colleague Carol Ferris (Blake Lively), he is soon called to defend mankind from Parallax, a super-powerful being who feeds on fear.
