Danger from another galaxy
Watch 'War of the Worlds' on Star Movies at 11.36 pm on October 17. Ray (played by Tom Cruise) is a dockyard worker, who has night shifts. He is separated from his wife Mary Ann (Miranda Otto) and takes care of their kids Rachel (Dakota Fanning) and Robbie (Justin Chatwin) during weekends.
This particular weekend, Mary Ann is away with her husband to visit her parents in Boston. When Ray returns home in the morning from his work, he finds the children's lives threatened by the invasion of aliens.

Standing guard over a magical dagger
Price of Persia: The Sands of Time' is set in the mystical land of Persia. Dastan (played by Jake Gyllenhall) is a rogue prince, who gets together with Tamina (essayed by Gemma Arterton) with great reluctance to guard a magical dagger.

In a war-like situation
Ong Bak 3: The Final Warrior' stars Tony Jaa, Primorata Dejudom, Nirut Sirichanya, Petchtai Wongkamlao and Dan Chupong. In 1431, Thailand, Tien is a hostage being wounded with wooden staves. Lord Rajasena has ordered his knees and elbows to be broken. When Rajasena is sleeping, Tien and his guerilla fighters are killed by Bhuti Sangka.
Rajasena offers a Bhuti a job but he refuses and instead lifts the curse on Rajasena. Tien's corpse is brought back to life by Pim and Tien then goes on a to rehabilitate, due to the help of Master Bua.
A fight breaks out between Tien and Bhuti and finally Bhuti is killed.
After that Tien and Pim return to the village and pray to Ong Bak. Tune in to the movie on HBO at 10.55 pm on October 17.
