Hilarious turn of events

The movie '99' airs on Zee Premier at 8 pm on October 8. This comedy follows the story of small time crooks Sachin (Kunal Khemu) and Zaramud (essayed by Cyrus Broacha) who deal in fake SIM cards for mobiles in the year 1999. When the police come after them, they steal a car to getaway. The car actually belongs to don AGM (Mahesh Manjrekar). Watch the hilarious turn of events as AGM sets them to work under him when they crash his expensive car.

Of excitement and martial arts

The Karate Kid Part 2' picks up right after where the first movie — 'The Karate Kid' — left off. Mr Miyagi (played by Pat Morita) and Daniel (essayed by Ralph Macchio) go on a trip to Okinawa to meet Miyagi's father, who is on his deathbed. Once they get there, Miyagi meets an old love and realises that he still has feelings for her.

Trouble brews in the form of an old rival and Daniel also manages to make some enemies.

Pitched against a madman

Watch 'The Dark Knight' on WBat 5.46 pm on October 8. It has been about a year since Bruce Wayne saved Gotham City in the form of Batman.

Everything is peaceful after the disappearance of the Scarecrow. Bruce is enjoying being a millionaire and planning to revive his romance with Rachel. A race against time

Unstoppable' airs on Star Movies at 9 pm on October 8.

The movie stars Denzel Washington, Chris Pine, Rosario Dawson, Kevin Corrigan, Ethan Suplee and Lew Temple.

It is a drama about a runaway train, carrying a cargo of toxic chemicals — this situation puts an engineer and his conductor in a race against time.

They're chasing the runaway train in a separate locomotive and need to bring it under control before it derails on a curve and causes a toxic spill that will decimate a town.

Facing his bitter past

Aitraaz stars Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Amrish Puri and Paresh Rawal.

Raj Malhotra (Akshay Kumar) is working in a cell-phone company.

Coincidentally, he happens to meet Priya (KareenaKapoor) a law student and falls in love. He marries her and lives a happy life.

Raj meets with professional success and is promoted — but along with this, he must face his bitter past.

His ex-girlfriend Sonia (Priyanka Chopra) meets him as Mrs Sonia Roy, wife of his boss Ranjit Roy (Amrish Puri).

She tries to get him back in her life. But Raj, who is now fully devoted to his wife, refuses her proposal and an angered Sonia charges him of rape.

In spite of knowing his past, Priya forgives Raj and agrees to represent him in court.

There's no way out

In 'Final Destination', Alex Browning (Devon Sawa) goes on a school trip to Paris. Just before take-off, Alex has a premonition that the flight will explode in mid-air. Alex wakes up to realise that it had been a dream. But, as the day goes on, the sequences in his dream before the explosion — all of them — happen in reality. This makes Alex believe that his dream had been a warning of what was to come. He panics and attempts to stop the flight. A few passengers are left behind in the resulting commotion. As they witness the explosion from the gate, they realise that Alex had not been imagining things. But what about the full dream — there had been no survivors? Will that also come true? Watch the movie on HBO at 5.05 pm on October 8 to find out.

Two thieves hatch a plan


Thunderbolt and Lightfoot' stars Clint Eastwood, Jeff Bridges, Geoffrey Lewis, Catherine Bach and Gary Busey. Lightfoot (Jeff Bridges) is a car thief who meets Thunderbolt (Clint Eastwood), who had been hiding as a minister in a church.

Thunderbolt is also a thief who has been lying low before collecting the loot that he and his colleagues had stolen seven years ago. Unable to find the loot as the school that they had hidden it at has been replaced by another building, the men decide to steal again.

Watch the film to see if Thunderbolt and Lightfoot get what they want. The movie airs on MGMat 9 pm on October 8.
