Preetham Gubbi's movies have always been very colourful — both in terms of the cast and storyline.

His movie Johny Mera Naam Preethi Mera Kaam was not only popular for its title but also for the costumes of the lead actors Ramya and Vijay. His other film, Jaanu was knit around the theme of love.

But now it looks like Preetham wants to grow out of the his obsession for the theme and experiment a little more. His next film, a big budget one, is touted to be a multi-starrer.
"It's going to be very different for me since I have never worked in a multi-starrer project before. I am discovering a whole side to myself.

There's pressure of choosing the right cast for the film, direction and even the finer details seem to be such a big decision for me," informs Preetham, who is both nervous and excited about his forthcoming project.

But Preetham thinks he excels under pressure. "My idea of a multi-starrer was quite different but now I seem to be not only dealing with problems about finalising the cast. I now realise that multi-starrer films throw up newer problems and challenges. We are in the process of finding a producer because the budget has exceeded our calculations," informs Preetham.

Talking about the storyline, Preetham shares that the cast includes three boys and three girls. "The story is about love and friendship. It traces the story of three childhood friends.

There are three classes of people — one set from the City, the middle classs and the lower middle class. These young people share a very close friendship but there are obvious differences and there's also a twist in the tale."

Preetham says that he has almost finalised the cast for the boys but the hunt for the girls is still on.
