Journey for freedom

Sucker Punch' airs on HBO at 9 pm on September 13. From the director of '300' and 'Watchmen', Zack Snyder's epic action fantasy takes viewers into the vivid imagination of a young girl, whose dream world provides the ultimate escape from her darker institutionalised reality. Unrestrained by the boundaries of time and space, she is free to go where her mind takes her — but her incredible adventures blur the lines between what's real and what's imaginary. Locked away against her will, but determined to fight for her freedom, she and four other girls battle everything from serpents to samurais, on an unbelievable journey to set themselves free.

Problems in a parallel world

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' is a story of four children: Lucy (played by Georgie Henley), Edmund (essayed by Skandar Keynes), Peter (portrayed by William Moseley) and Susan (played by Anna Popplewell) go to live with an old professor during the war. As they play hide and seek, Lucy finds a hidden wardrobe. When they open the door, the children reach the magical land of Narnia. But Narnia is ruled by the evil White Witch (played by Tilda Swinton), who has made it snow there for a century. According to an old prophecy, the four kids are the chosen ones who will defeat the witch. Aslan, the lion, is the true ruler of Narnia and he helps them.

Thriller on the small screen

Psycho' airs on September 13 at 11.15 pm on Zee Studio. It focusses on Marion Crane, an adulterous woman who steals a big amount of money from her boss and runs away from town hoping for financial freedom. Stopping at an old motel for the night, she meets the creepy owner of the Bates Motel — Norman Bates, who lives with his jealous nagging mother. In the night, Marion is brutally stabbed while taking a shower. The money, the car, and Marion's remains are quickly dumped in a nearby swamp. As a detective and Marion's sister Lila come looking for her, they begin to uncover the dark mysterious secret lurking in Norman Bates' life.

Battle for the last refuge

The Lord of the Rings: Two Towers' airs on Movies Now at 9 pm on September 13. The movie stars Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Sean Astin, Viggo Mortensen and Andy Serkis. In their parallel journeys, the Fellowship will stand against the powerful forces spreading from the two towers — Orthanc Tower in Isengard, where Saruman has bred a lethal army of 10,000 creatures; and Sauron's fortress at Barad-dur, deep within the dark lands of Mordor. 'The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers' culminates in the astonishing battle for the refuge Helm's Deep — the Kingdom of Rohan's ancient large stone fortress, besieged by Uruk-hai warriors.
