All brawn but little brain is the popular notion about professional wrestlers. Here's then Kane (real name Glenn Thomas Jacobs), a 7'' feet demented monster, who choke slams his opponents in the WWE rings, and Eve Torres, who makes a fool of herself in the square, for you.

Prejudice seeping into your mind? But don't be surprised if those pre-conceptions take a more cultured form as you read on.

Let's meet Kane first. Clad in a black T-shirt and blue jeans, the massive wrestler looked relaxed before melting the apprehensions away with a broad smile and firm handshake.
Even before the WWE tour manager makes the formal introduction, Kane blurts out, "This is my fourth visit to India, and it feels wonderful to be here again."

So, what makes him love this country? "I was a bit surprised by the crowd, traffic and the difference of culture during my first visit to India. But then this country has some magic as it grew on me in the subsequent visits. You guys are really wonderful blokes — so warm and natural and your hospitality is really one of the best in the world. Nobody feels away from home here."

Did someone say monster?

Kane, who loves to read history and all kind of fiction, then explained the secret of his affable self metamorphosing into an intimidating one inside the ring.

"It's the ability to know what the spectators want, a knowledge in crowd psychology helps the performer here. I have been in this industry for well over a decade now, and if I don't know what the spectators expect from me then I can't survive in this field. It's all about keeping yourself relevant over the years," Kane said.

Eve needs to do a reverse character transformation in the ring -- from an intense person in her private life to a buffoon.

The 28-year old is a Jiu-Jitsu (Brazilian martial art) expert, and spokeswoman and head instructor at Gracie Women Empowered self-defence programme.

"It's not easy. You need a lot of courage and ability to self-deprecate, knowing
that millions are watching you live. But then that's the demand of my profession," she said.

However, Eve shares one passion with Kane — India. "This is my first visit to this country, and I am absolutely loving it. The culture is so different from what you see in the US. But what I like about India is the variety of your cuisine. Though I am not much of a spice-lover, the aroma and flavour of your food has made me fall in love with it."
