Presented by musician Johnny Clegg, 'A Country Imagined' travels through some of South Africa's most beautiful spaces to explore the rich history and the art of society.
The programme spotlights South African artists and their work as well as the landscapes they work with.
A number of them, including Nadine Gordimer, Olive Schreiner, Hugh Masekela, Gerard Sekoto, William Kentridge and David Goldblatt, are known around the world. The show airs on Discovery HD World at 9 pm on August 15.

The film also centres around the love story of Wendy and Peter. She sees him as a dashing young hero, but as her innocent affection for Peter grows, she longs to free him from his eternal adolescence.
